Giuliano
Galeotti
was born March 2, 1955
in Portoferraio (Livorno, Italy).
Since he was seven years old he was very good at drawing as well
as at painting.
Giuliano's work represents his personal experience of sorrow and
pain, beared as inner life. Maybe never before, as in this case,
art and life are so close and run along the same patterns, to get
unified into a common language. A dramatic passionate language,
typically expressionist, which translates author's dispair and disdain.
"In
painting I've found the strength to grow up" claims the Tuscan
artist, now adopted in Modena. In his works - in fact - Giuliano
could verify his own as well others people's sad experiences, to
finally draw his own vision about life (Michele Fuoco in its book
on the artist "Riflessi d'amore").
Giuliano
Galeotti's painting is not easy, decorative wall painting. It excites,
releases emotions and vibrations, communicates something which never
ends. Giuliano synthesizes his life as painter in this way:
"Painting
for me is an art which allows me to see with my mind and to paint
with my hearth".
His
difficult childhood, portrayed in his works and told by himself,
brought him to study and improve. He is an autodidact who attained
a unique artistic level. Critics defined him one of the most interesting
artists in contemporary art.

They
tell about him...
"Giuliano
Galeotti owns a disruptive artistic energy. Extremely dynamic, the
artist ceaselessly looks for expression modules for the steady flow
of ideas coming from his strong mood. The artist draws his subjects
out of his turbulent life as well as his catholic faith: death and
separation; love and unity; spiritual exploration and dramatic Christian
iconography " (Kit Sutherland).
"His
paintings transfer a lot of his feeling. They are expressionist
paintings, as much strong and expressive as his personality is.
He is a complete artist. His art encompasses very diversified painting
techniques, sometimes invented at the moment" (Filippo Abrate).
"An
autodidact who transferred in painting all his juvenile anguish
and all his torment as an orphan. Giuliano Galeotti has poured in
his paintings the pain he suffered in his tender age. The explosion
of colours and the line of characters in his canvas tell us so much
about the years of quest of internal peace, maybe never attained.
Galeotti has got in his works more than a tale for everybody, more
than an answer for those -in his portrayals-
look for each one and find themselves prisoner of never abandoned
and never forgotten anguishes" (Alfonso Scibona)
"He
approaches characters desecrating man with brotherly love, unveiling
overwhelming paradoxes, where emotion is the seed
.the work
is the blooming
" (Remo Zanerini)
Maybe
no thought but this on Giuliano Galeotti summarizes in the best
way the value and scope of the remark.
"Giuliano's
works deserve to be observed live to be evaluated; description doesn't
work, because they are strokes of author's feeling, whether you
share it or not" (Romano Pelloni).
