Chiara Crepaldi, born  in Sidney , lives since many years in Milano ( Italy ) where she works in her atélier “Attimi scolpiti” (“Clay”). In this studio-workshop Chiara takes shelter to better tranfer and fix into clay her feelings and sensations stealt from day-by-day life and suddenly prompted by a glance, a caress, maybe an embrace…

“ Sculpture, particularly manipulation of clay, triggers into me an alchemic process: it is not only a solid form which starts living in front of my eyes, but also feelings, thoughts, fears, memories…Hands simply become a tool which renders in a tactyle way the movements of soul, transforming them in movements of a body or of a glance”.

Chiara explains in this way her passion for sculpture and when talking about teaching this discipline she adds: “ I try to transmit my love and respect for sculpture to whoever keeps inside a Universe of his/her own, which he/she is not able to unlock”.
